xpNexus Melt FX

The scene files focus on using the XParticles Nexus Fluid solver to achieve a solid like structured volume of an object which can then turn into a liquid state. This creates a lovely melting effect that makes the object feel like its disintegrating.
(Scene file purchase only).

The video shows examples of how this melt FX can be applied to other 3D models of your own choice.
An example of taking a toy aeroplane model and generating a fun leaky melting behaviour. (This specific scene is not included but it was generated using an adaption of one of the scene files supplied in the purchase) Simply choose your own object that you want to melt.
Another example of changing the behaviour for a free flowing melt down visual effect. (This specific scene is not included but it was generated using an adaption of one of the scene files supplied in the purchase) Simply choose your own object that you want to melt.

XP Nexus Melt scene file 1 - cut through melt behaviour

This scene file has been setup with helpful annotation notes applied to some of the objects plus they can be accessed from the main viewport. Within the scene you'll see how the nxFluid solver and nxFluid tags work to drive the two different particles states. These behavioural states can be triggered using fields within the modifiers.

Render created using Redshift but any render engine could be used.

To speed up calculations you can create less particles in the model by changing the particle radius size under Emissions tab in the Emitter. currently it is set to 1cm but if you changed this to 2 or 3 it will calculate faster. The only draw back is that there is less particles so the mesh will be less detailed.

XP Nexus Melt scene file 2 - Leaky melt behaviour

This scene file has been setup with helpful annotation notes applied to some of the objects. Within the scene you'll see how the nxFluid solver and nxFluid tags work to drive the two different particles states. These behavioural states can be triggered using fields. This scene has a different field modifier that creates a more leaking melt behaviour.

This scene also increases the overall structural stiffness plus has a slightly more viscous liquid effect to the fluid.

Render created using Redshift but any render engine could be used.
